Summer 2009 Short Course Meet Recap The bad news is that I’ve been so busy this summer, it’s been tough for me to keep up with all of the meets and get results posted as regularly as I would like.  The good news is that I’ve been so busy this summer, it’s been tough for me to keep up with all of the meets and get our great results posted as regularly as I would like!  Our Tsunamis have gone to three different short course meets this summer and I would...

PCST 2009 Long Course Summer Meets Recap Between all of the short course and long course meets this season, there have not been many weekends where there hasn’t been a meet.  I’m proud to say that this also means there have not been many weekends this summer in which the Tsunami haven’t swam absolutely great!  In the words of a great Alabama coach and friend of mine, the Tsunamis are "Ready to Explode"!  Well, the fuse was lit earlier this year and we’re ready to blow up!  Here’s a recap of...

Please see the Events page for the "newly added" PCST Beef O'Brady's Night!

Massive Drops for Two of Our Upcoming Tsunamis Tstars! Yes, I woke up very early and drove all the way to Pensacola for 2 swimmers on a Sunday morning, but BOY OH BOY did they make it worthwhile!  Both Dylan Mock and Michael Whitehead were on fire at the GPAC Distance Spring Fling, dropping 64 seconds between the 2 of them in only 12 races over the weekend!  Dylan Gets 2 new Southeastern Cuts! Yes, Dylan is only 13 years old and he's already approaching a full boat of Southeastern...

Small Group of Tsunamis Brings Home Big Results From Mobile! Your Tsunamis went to Coach Brian’s backyard (Mobile) and showed that it doesn’t take a lot of swimmers to produce great swims at a meet.  We had 7 swimmers attend the CMSA Meet and all 7 of them came home with some lifetime best times.  Four of those swimmers achieved new Southeastern qualifying times and 6 of them had swims that put them in the Top 10 All-Time for PCST in their respective age group.  Well done Tsunamis!! Chad McGuire Sets 2...

Talkington Leads PCST Swimmers with 1st Place Finish! Welcome to the long course season!!  The 3rd Annual Long Course Paradise Invitational this year was the largest in team history with 432 swimmers in the season opener.  PCST had a team record 80 swimmers compete in the first long course meet of the summer and were in a great three team battle all weekend long for 3rd place overall.  The top spot went to the Area Tallahassee Aquatic Club with the Greater Pensacola Aquatic Club in 2nd place.  PCST finished 4th...

Sara Evans Competed in Her First Ever National Level Meet! There is no doubt that Sara Evans has accomplished a ton in her years with PCST.  She reached a level that a select few Tsunamis have ever reached when she qualified for the NCSA Junior National Championships in Orlando, FL.  Then she took it further by not just qualifying in one race but rather 4 events (50 Breast, 100 Breast, 200 IM, 400 IM)!  Her list of accomplishments have already reached great lengths before she ever stepped foot on the pool...

Mac Crutchfield Foundation Fundraiser Dinner with Olympian Ryan Lochte! Yes, you heard me...........6 Tsunami swimmers had the pleasure of meeting Ryan Lochte last Friday at a fundraising dinner for the Mac Crutchfield Foundation.  The foundation was created in loving memory of Mac Crutchfield, a former ATAC swimmer and great individual who passed away unexpectedly in August 2008.  Mac’s goal was to swim in college and create opportunities for swimmers with disabilities through his eagle scout project.  The money raised from his foundation will ensure that swimmers from Florida and Georgia...

10 & Under Boys Medley Relay Leads the Way with Highest PCST Relay Finish on Record! There sure were a lot of PCST records broken at the 2009 Short Course Southeastern Championships, and I’m not only talking about the 7 individual and 4 relays record we broke.  We ended the meet with the highest placement in team history at the short course meet, the most points ever scored, the most swimmers ever qualified and the most swimmers ever attending a championship meet.  After a very successful District Championships, I think it’s safe...
