Competitive Team Description

The competitive team is the heart of the Panama City Swim Team.  Athletes on the competitive team practice, train, and hone their skills on a regular basis and showcase their development in competition.  

Practices for these atheltes is offered on a daily basis and the duration of these workouts will increase with age and skill development.  

The compeitive team will also participate in "swim meets" (the swimming world term for competitions) periodically.  The majority of these competition take place locally in the Panama City area.  We also attend meets throughout the panhandle of Florida as well as other locations across our state and the Southeast.  

USA Swimming is the National Governing Body for club swimming.  PCST Competitve Team Memnbers are registered with USA Swimming and are eleigible to participate in USA Swimnming Sanctioned competition.  Our local governing body for club swimming is the Southeastern Swimming Local Swim Committee (LSC).  Southeastern Swimming is a branch of USA Swimming which covers a geographic region including Tennessee, Alabama, and the Panhandle of Florida.
