PCST Brings Home Team Trophy From First Ever Coast Aquatics Meet! While the Rick Byers Invitational has been here with us for 10 years now, the Coast Aquatics program is in its early stages of infancy.  For those of you who have been swimming for a while, you are familiar with the teams named ECS and BWB.  Both Emerald Coast Swimming and the Bluewater Barracudas recently combined their teams to make one super team called CA, or Coast Aquatics.  The meet in Ft. Walton Beach that our Tsunamis recently swam...

Tsunami Girls Make Big Waves at ATAC Meet in Tallahassee! Over the years, PCST has had a lot of fantastic female swimmers reach inredible heights.  In knowing that, it should not come as a surprise that the Tsunami girls on the team absolutely rocked it at the Mac Crutchfield Invitational Meet hosted by the Area Tallahassee Aquatic Club.  This year though, they showed up in full force covering all age groups and providing an incredible number of points for the team.  We did have quite a few boys that swam very...

Duderstadt High Point Award Leads Tsunamis at GPAC Meet! Of the 37 Tsunamis who participated in the first meet of 2012, none score more points than our very own senior swimmer, Michael Duderstadt.  By winning four individual events, "Duder" also won the overall high point award for the Senior Boys division.  However, it was not Duder alone who pushed PCST towards a 4th place overall team finish and 3rd place visiting team ranking.  There were high scoring Tsunamis in every single age group to help provide the team with over...

Big Best Times for PCST National Team at Speedo Junior Nationals! For those of you who have the pleasure of receiving our team emails, you have already seen my massively extensive daily blog from Junior Nationals.  Don't worry, I won't be typing that out again, haha.  I do want to say that I am incredibly proud of our young boys for representing PCST with tremendous pride at the Speedo Junior Nationals in Austin, TX in early December. (If you would like to read through the blogs, please feel free to email me...

Well Rounded Effort Helps Tsunamis Bring Home "Silver Platter" Award For First Place Visiting Team at the "Gravy Bowl" For a few years now, Coach Brian has envisioned a good prelims/finals meet in November for this region that is nearby in which a good number of teams would enjoy some fast swimming. Unfortunately, PCST cannot host such a meet with the possibility of us getting a cold snap in November that would make it very difficult to have the fastest swimming environment possible. GPAC with their beautifully renovated indoor facility...

PCST Swimmers Smash Tons of Records at the Florida High School State Championships! When you have a State Championship as successful as the one we just had, it's incredibly difficult to decide which of the tons of incredible accomplishments should receive the headline.  Ideally, I would like to give a headline to a whole bunch of swimmers because we had so many great swims, top performances, etc etc.  But it's hard to overlook our STATE CHAMPIONS in Chet Seaman and Michael Whitehead!  It's tough to overlook our Runner Up Team Champions in...

PCST Welcomes the Newest Member of the Tsunami Family; Ava Valencia! Last Monday, October 31st, 2011, PCST coaches Chris and Candice Valencia got the best "treat" you could ever get on Halloween night.  Their beautifl baby girl, Ava, came into this world.  Little does she know that she is now a part of one of the most wonderful loving families she could ever hope for.  And I have a feeling that she will learn that more and more with everyday day she opens those pretty little eyes. Our newest "Tsunami"...

12 Tsunamis Qualify For The State Championships In Orlando! While the landscape may have changed for the schools in each state classification, region and district, some things have not changed from last year.  Take, for example, that our very own Mosley Boys are the Class 1A, Region 1 CHAMPIONS for the second straight year!!  After winning the District Team Title last week, the Dolphins have proved that they will be a strong force this coming week at the State Championships in Orlando.  Along the way though, PCST as a team...

Mosley High Boys Lead The Way As 2-A District 1 Champions! We had an exciting Friday as our Tsunamis represented three different high schools at the District Championships last week.  The Mosley Boys came away as the District Champions once again, while the Bay High Boys and Mosley Girls finished the day as the District Runner Up teams!  Along the way PCST swimmers broke County Records, School Records, PCST Records and even got some new Southeastern cuts!  And while not every Tsunami has moved on to Regionals, our swimmers whose...

PCST Brings Home Hardware From Dothan Meet and Great Swims From GPAC Meet! In back to back weekends, the PCST squad was split up into two fantastic meets.  On the front end of our consecutive meets fell the GPAC competition in Pensacola where our senior swimmers really showed up and swam well in spite of being tired and having the County Championships the day before.  To finish up our double meet schedule, our awesome Age Group and Novice swimmers came home from Dothan with a 3rd Place Visiting Team trophy!! ...
