PCST Named Bronze Medal Club by USA Swimming! The Panama City Swim Team has been named a Bronze Medal Club for 2014 as a part of USA Swimming's Club Excellence Program.  The Club Excellence Program identifies up to 200 clubs each year (out of nearly 2,800) for overall performance.  PCST ranked 165th nationally for the 2013 swim season, earning the club its first ever Bronze Medal distinction.  Previously, PCST has been close to the top 200, but never quite made it in.  This is a huge honor for our club...

Tsunamis Close Out a Great 2013 at PCST December Meet! Ratliff Sets Three Team Records, Places 12th at Junior Nationals Jonathan Ratliff set three new all-time PCST Team Records at the recently completed USA Swimming Junior National Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina.  The meet featured over 1200 of the fastest 18&Younger swimminr in the country and was easily one of the deepest and fastest meets in recent memory.  Ratliff showed he belongs with the very best by qualifying for the B Final heat and placing 12th overall in the 200 yard Butterfly.   Here are the three team records established...

The Blue Team! Congratulations to the Blue Team for their come from behind victory to claim the PCST Tsunami Cup for the Fall 2013 Season.  The Blue Team won the meet on Friday December 6 by a score of 326-232.  Congratulations go out to members of both the Blue and Red Teams for earning bonus points for bringing in canned goods for our team's canned food drive (Blue brought 94 cans, while Red brought 74).  The final score for the Fall 2013 series is Blue 959 to Red 883. Big Swims for Tsunamis at GPAC Gravy Bowl! After months of High School swim meets, it was great to get the entire team back together in one competition.  The Panama City Swim Team Tsunamis put up some fantastic performances en route to placing third overall at the 2013 GPAC Gravy Bowl Swim Meet held November 22-24 at the University of West Florida Natatorium in Pensacola.  The meet featured more than 670 swimmers representing 20 teams from Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi.   In all, the Tsunamis posted two new Team Records, five...

Tsunamis Light It Up At High School Championship Meets! Now that the 2013 Florida High School Athletic Association Swim Season has come to a close, it is time to look back and reflect on some of the tremendous performances posted by PCST swimmers.  The High School Championships consist of three levels of meets over three weeks (District - Region - State).  Our swimmers in the 1A and 2A classifications (North Bay Haven, Bay, Arnold) competed over the period of October 21-November 9, while the swimmers representing 3A schools (Mosley, Niceville)...

PCST Takes Runner-Up at Dothan Meet! The Panama City Swim Team Tsunamis brought home the Runner-Up Visiting Team Trophy from the Peanut Wiregrass Swim Meet in Dothan November 2-3.  Even without our High School swimmers, we were able to enter more than 40 Tsunamis in the two day competition that featured more than 300 swimmers representing thirteen teams from across the Southeast.  For the second meet in a row, more than half of the PCST swimmers at the meet placed at least one swim in the Top 8.  Special congratulations...

Hicks and Campbell Lead Tsunamis at HBT Halloween Happening! The Panama City Swim Team Tsunamis traveled North to Birmingham to compete in our second meet of the season.  Despite being right in the middle of High School season and a rare four day weekend, twenty-four PCST swimmers put up some great swims at the HBT Halloween Happening October 11-13 at the Crossplex Natatorium.  More than half of the PCST swimmers at the meet placed at least one swim in the Top 8 in the meet which featured 479 swimmers from...
