Seven Tsunamis Named SES Age Group All-Stars

Seven Tsunamis Named Southeastern Swimming LSC Age Group All Stars!

Seven Tsunami swimmers have been named to the 2012-2013 Southeastern Swimming LSC Age Group All-Star Team.  The team is comprised of a very select group of swimmers from across Tennessee, Alabama, and the Florida Panhandle in the following age groups: 8&Under, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14.  Swimmers may qualify for the team by achieving a Top 5 time in an individual event for the entire season, winning an event at the Southeastern Championships, having the fastest overall time of any of the four District Meet 8&Under events, or an IMXtreme Program component.  Roughly 200 swimmers qualify for the all star team each season.

For the 2012-2013 Short Course Season, Kalanne Krause and Kari Troia each qualified for the 13-14 Girls All-Star Team as a results of their IMXtreme Program scores.

For the 2012-2013 Long Course Season, five Tsunamis were named to the All Star Team.  Ella Hicks and Alex Fulton qualified in the 8&Under Age Group.  Ella placed 5th for the season in the 50 meter Breaststroke, while Alex placed four events in the Top 5 for the season (50 meter Freestyle – 2nd, 100 meter Freestyle – 3rd, 50 meter Backstroke – 3rd, 50 meter Breaststroke – 5th).  Marisa Ashley and Taylor Warren each were named 10&Under Girls Age Group All Stars.  Marisa qualified via her 3rd place season time in the 400 meter Freestyle while Taylor placed 3rd in the 50 meter Backstroke.  Nico Gobel earned his All Star status for the 11-12 Boys Age Group on the strength of his IMXtreme Program score.

Each of the swimmers will be awarded a certificate and swim cap from Southeastern Swimming.  Congratulations to each of our SES All-Stars!
