Tsunamis Of All Ages Post Incredible In-Season Times at Coast Aquatics Long Course Meet!

For the second straight year, PCST has been fortunate enough to be a "visiting" team at our home pool thanks to Coast Aquatics hosting their long course meet here in Panama City Beach at Frank Brown Park.  The best part about it is that Coast did a fantastic job of bringing in a large number of swimmers from outside of the area, resulting in new faces and fun competitive races for all of our swimmers.  It's not often you get to race at home while competing against a large number of swimmers you normally do not get to race with any frequency.

The result was not only a 3rd place overall team finish in a highly contested meet, but more importantly a ton of great swims, team records and new Southeastern qualifying times.  As many parents know, May can be a tough time to travel and train with school, end of the year tests, activities, etc.  This is simply all the more reason why we were thrilled with all of the great swims from our Tsunamis.  Awesome job guys!!

Tsunamis Finish 3rd Overall In A Great Team Competition!

Although our main focus at this meet was more on trying to post fast swims rather than scoring the points needed in order to win the overall meet, I must say that I am super proud of the impressive overall team finish we had!  Our mission was accomplished as we had best times in every age group.  However, for us to also finish 3rd overall only behind two incredible teams and ahead of two other incredible teams is nothing to pass quickly by.  In a meet that had over 450 swimmers competing from 16 different teams, I'd say 3rd is pretty darn good. Congratulations to all Tsunamis who helped score team points and who helped encourage one another; bringing home yet another team trophy to add to the collection.

Fulton Leads Tsunamis With 5 New Team Records!  13 Total For the Team!

One of the final age groups to withstand the onslaught of team record breakers over the last 7 years has been the 8 & Under boys.  Well............they have fallen!  The young rising Tsunami star, Alex Fulton, broke 5 new PCST records at the Coast Meet and is not slowing down one bit.  Speaking of rising stars...............Nico Gobel in the 11-12 Boys broke his first 3 individual team records ever, proving that he is one of the best to ever come out of the entire program!  Sprinkle on there a small handfull of other records from Amelia Talkington, Kyla Hallam and Chad McGuire, and PCST ended up with 13 overall records at the meet!  Not bad for an in-season competition!

New PCST All-Time Top 10 Swims

The best of the best!  Don't get used to these times because they are going to get DESTROYED later this summer!  However, for just a minute, think about it............how impressive is it that our All-Time Top 10 list continues to get completely rewritten each year, and yet here we are already breaking into the list with TONS of swims this early in the season?  Great job everyone!

Awesome job at the meet Tsunamis!  We still have some great swims coming our way in Tallahassee for the ATAC meet as well as here in Panama City Beach at our home meet before heading to Nashville for Southeasterns.  Stay tuned because just like the summer temperatures here on the beach..........our Tsunamis are just getting warmed up and we're only gonna get hotter!
