PCST Masters Swimmers Complete Florida Ironman!!

Ironman Florida 2012 Taken Over By Tsunamis!!!

There may have been over 3,000 competitors in this year's Ironman Florida, but none were more spectacular than our very own PCST Masters swimmers!  With the brand new adult masters swimming program still in its infancy, only a little over 8 months old, however, we already had an impressive 5 swimmers complete the entire 140.6 mile race!!  Leading the charge for the Tsunamis was our very own Coach Sarah Mrazek, who completed the entire race in a smoking fast 12 hours, 1:22 minutes!!  Holy cow! Other amazing Tsunami swimmers who not only finished, but absolutely rocked the home town race were Kristen Woodward, Alice Poore-Guay, Michael Zapata and Matt McGuire!  (If we missed anybody, PLEASE send us your results!  There were a lot of results to sort through!)

Let's face it........there is absolutely nothing simple about this race.  For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Ironman series, this one is the big daddy of them all in terms of distance.  Athletes from all over the world come to PCB in November every year for this ultra competitive event.  It starts out with a nice a simple 2.4 mile swim (haha....nice and simple, riiiiight!), followed by a 112 mile bike and a then a full marathon run (26.2 miles) at the end.  Most people complete a marathon as a life changing event.  These guys did it as only a portion of their race!!  Unbelievable!

Congratulations to each of you because you are heros and great sources of inspiration to all of us!  Way to make our Tsunami family proud!  Here are some more details on the incredible achievements of our PCST Masters swimmers.
