PCST Masters Rock The Gulf Coast Triathlon!

PCST Masters Use Tsunamis Tattoo Power at Gulf Coast Triathlon 70.3 Ironman Race!

Each year the Panama City Swim Team is a major force at the very popular Gulf Coast Triathlon Race.  However, in years past our presence has been as a volunteer group with a small handful of swimmers, parents and coaches who have competed in the 1/2 Ironman event.  While we were still there as volunteers this year, our impact on the triathlon that brings competitors from all over the country and even world was not limited to that typical group.

The PCST Masters program, which has continued to grow since its inception in March 2012, had a tremendous amount of success at the 2012 Gulf Coast Triathlon, and I am very excited to be able to share it with you!!  Not only did we have a lot of improved swim portions of the race (which I heard was pretty rough waters this year), we also showed up in style as many of our PCST Masters swimmers sported the new PCST Tsunamis Tattoos this year during their race.  :)  You guys looked goooooooooood!  :)  (Don't worry.........the tats are temporary.)  haha.

A special congratulations goes out to David Shearon and Kristen Woodward who came away from the grueling race with some major accomplishments.  Tsunamis.................I've completed this race twice myself and I can tell you that simply finishing is something that would make most people cringe.  So when I tell you that David Shearon finished 20th overall in the entire race that had nearly 1,000 competitors, you know that's unbelievable!  And when I tell you that Kristen Woodward had the fastest swim time in her age group and the 9th fastest overall swim time for all females, you know she accomplished greatness.  Well done to both of you and well done to everyone who finished the event and achieved your goal times.  We are super proud of you!

And guess who else was in the mix with one of the fastest swim times in the entire race???  Surprise surprise, COACH SARAH!  :)  She has been training her booty off and we are very proud of you and your awesome race "Moach Marah".  :)
