PCST Wins Second Meet of 2010 at ECS!

PCST Age Group and Novice Swimmers Win 1st Place Visiting Team Without Help of Seniors!!!

It was a beautiful weekend at the Destin YMCA and PCST had a wonderful turnout of 45 Tsunami that were entirely from the Age Group and Novice groups.  There were some terrific swims including some team records, new All-Time and Age Group All-Time Top 10 swims, tons of trophies that went home as well as a wonderful "Cup" for winning the 1st place visiting team award.

3rd) Bluewater Barracudas Swim team.............417.50 points
4th) Dothan Dolphin Swim Team........................331 points
5th) Prattville YMCA.............................................134 points

**Generally the host team (in this case Emerald Coast Swimming) does not accept the team trophies since they often have a signifcant advantage over visiting teams with number of swimmers.  Emerald Coast Swimming is CLEARLY a strong team and won the meet, however, PCST has never won the "Visiting" Team Trophy before since the Bluewater Barracudas annually take that title.  As you can see it was a close battle, and I'm incredibly proud of our Age Group and Novice Tsunamis for coming from 25 points behind after Day 1 to win the meet without needing a single senior swimmer!  Very impressive Tsunamis!
