Tristan Gandy Becomes District Champion!

8 & Unders Lead the Way at District Championships!

Tristan Gandy Brings Tsunamis a District Champion for Two Years in a Row!

For the 2nd year in a row, PCST has a District Champion!  Last year, Amelia Talkington proved that she was one of the best 8 & Under swimmers in all of Southeastern Swimming.  This year, Tristan Gandy has kept the streak alive.  His victory in the 8 & Under Boys 25 Breast was a great one!  Even better is that Tristan is only 7 years old and will be even better next year!  Congratulations Tristan!

5 Tsunamis Bring Home Championship Medals for 8 & Unders!
As I mentioned before, Amelia Talkington brought home many medals for the Tsunamis last year.  This year we had 5 swimmers bring home Southeastern Championship Medals from the 8 & Under District Meet!  That just shows that we're not a team with only one or two fast swimmers anymore, we're getting MANY very fast swimmers in each age group!  Even better is that we had 2 girls' relays finish in the top 4 this year to get medals too!  Oh yeah, and they missed the team record in both of those races by only a couple tenths of a second.  So close!  Awesome job Tsunamis!

9 Swimmers Have New Age Group All-Time Top 10 Swims!
The all-time top 10 list for each age group is quickly becoming incredibly tough to get into!  Each meet that goes by, the list gets just a little bit more presigious.  Having 9 swimmers achieve times that make them among the best in the history of the team for their age group is pretty awesome for one weekend!

Duderstadt Qualifies For Southeastern Championship; 3 Others Get New Cuts!
At the ATAC meet, Michael Duderstadt got very close to a handful of Southeastern cuts.  Now, Michael has a handful of Southeastern cuts!  He only started swimming at the beginning of the high school season and has quickly become one of the top swimmers on the team!  We are very proud of Michael, Dylan, Troy and Max for achieving new Southeastern Championship qualifying times over the weekend in Gulf Breeze!

New Tsunami Awards
I strongly encourage all of our swimmers to keep track of their Tsunami Awards points!  It's fun to keep track of your progress and any swimmer who competes in every single event available for their age group during this short course season will receive an equipment mesh bag with the PCST team logo screened on it!  They are really cool, so definitely make a point of swimming every event before the Tsunami Awards end July 31st!  If you want to see where your points are coming from at practice, you can ask Coach Jonathan at practice or check the front pocket of the notebook of rankings on the table at GCCC.
