PCST Swimmers Improve at Mid Season Meets!
Tsunamis Have Great In Season Swims at GPAC Distance Meet and Coast Sprint Pentathlon!
The month of May is always a difficult one for a hard working swimmer. These student athletes have a ton going on with school and what not as they prepare for the summer. Traveling isn't always the easiest to do, and the kids have a lot of stress from finals, AP exams and graduations. While this is a nationwide phenomena, our Tsunamis proved that you can still have best times and tremendous swims in the middle of this craziness. In spite of being tired from mid season training, our swimmers put up a lot of best times and essentially assaulted the all-time top 10 lists at both the GPAC Distance Long Course Meet in Pensacola and the Coast Aquatics Sprint Short Course Pentathlon in Destin during the month of May.

Troia, Wilder & Duderstadt Come Home With High Point Trophies At Coast Meet!
This particular meet was difficult to win the high point trophy because it was a test of both the fastest and most versatile swimmers in the meet. In order to be in contention for the high point trophy, not only did you have to complete all of the events legally, you had to be one of the best in each of them. The high point awards were scored based on the total time of each swimmer. Congratulations to Kari Troia, Taylor Wilder and Michael Duderstadt for being the best of the meet and for winning the overall high point awards. A special congratulations goes out to Taylor Wilder who won her first ever high point trophy! Well done all of you!

Six Different Tsunamis Win Events At Coast Short Course Pentathlon!
While we are incredibly proud of our Tsunamis who placed so high in the overall rankings, sometimes it is fun to simply say "I won!!" Congratulations to the following swimmers who won individual events at the late spring meet in Destin.

These Tsunamis (among many others) overcame the odds stacked up against them during the month of May and came away with some pretty darn good results. It just goes to show you that if you keep working hard enough, good things will happen even in the toughest of times. Following these two great meets, PCST got to stay at "home" for an "away" meet for the Coast Long Course "Surf & Swim Classic". Stay tuned because we have many more great results to share with you from that meet as well.
