PCST Swimmers Practice With Gold Medalist Ryan Lochte!

3 Tsunamis Attend Ryan Lochte Swim Clinic For Autographs, Swimming and Breakfast with a Champion!

For those of you who aren't quite totally into swimming just yet, Ryan Lochte is considered by most coaches to be the number one swimmer in the world.  In fact, I've heard so many coaches say that if Michael Phelps didn't exist, then Ryan Lochte is the name everybody would remember instead of Phelps.  Well, start remembering it because Ryan surpassed Michael this summer in dominating fashion by winning countless National and Pan Pacific Titles in the process and winning head to head battles with Michael.  (Don't worry though, Michael is still UNBELIEVABLE and is getting back to top form as well). :)

Over the weekend, 3 PCST swimmers, Chad McGuire, Cole Tillman and Casey Pridgen, attended the Ryan Lochte swim clinic in Gulf Shores and had a great time!  They got to meet with Ryan personally to get autographs and pictures.  They even had breakfast there at the pool with Ryan, got in the water to do drills with him for about an hour and a half, and go to have an inspirational talk from one of the world's best.  It was an amazing day for all involved and if Ryan ever comes that close to Panama City Beach, you don't want to miss out on it...........just ask Chad, Cole and Casey!

While we were there, us coaches wanted to see what Ryan could do in a 50 underwater dolphin kick.  After sitting in the water cold doing drills and instruction with the kids for over an hour, Ryan was nice enough to give it an un-warmed up try from a push.  He went 21.3 in a 50 yard underwater dolphin kick from a push!!  It was incredible.  I've got the video on my phone if you want to see it. :)

It was a neat day and I'm thrilled our boys had a great time!
